Michelle Ibaraki - Guest Designer for Foamiran Flowers

January 30, 2019

Hi Everyone, it's Kim with you today, sharing some incredible Foamiran Flowers!

We have a very talented lady as a Guest Designer. Her name is Michelle Ibaraki. She will be sharing her flowers with us a couple or three times a month.

I can't believe these were all hand cut, and almost all her supplies are from Shawn's Magnolia-licious Online Store!

Is Michelle talented or what? I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

She used a variety of Foamiran and Silk Foam
(we have some new colours of both coming in this week!)

She also uses Gallery Artists' Extra Soft Oil Pastels by Mungyo to colour or accent her Silk Foam and Foamiran! We don't carry any pastels in the store, sorry! I do know they are easy to find though.

Thank you Michelle, for sharing your stunning Foamiran Flowers with us!

Have a great day everyone!
Kim

Ruby and Memory Lights

January 30, 2019

Good day all!!  Today I'm sharing the new Polkadoodles Ruby Birthday Cake image that I've colored up with my Copics.  I started with some Maja Design papers and cut my shaped card with my Silhouette.  I love that thing!!!  😀

Here I've used an oldie but a goodie die from Magnolia called "So Wrapped Lovely".  It's always been one of my favorites!!  I added some shabby chic ribbon to one and wax cord with a heart charm to the other, then my usual addition of flowers.

Here is another bouquet for you and the pearl button that makes the magic happen!

TADA!!!  This is why I mentioned the pearl button.  In this case, I added a pearl gem button that you push to get the Memory Light to brighten up.  These lights are so stinkin' fun!!!  You can buy just one (called the base) or you can buy the base, plus the expansion kit that comes with 2 more lights if you want to light up more area's on your card!

I hope you get a chance to stop by and check out the Memory Lights.  Perfect for that special occasion or the "just because I love you" card.  😀😍

Thank you so much for stopping by!!

Hugs!

There's No Place

January 21, 2019

Hello again!  Eulanda here and it's my turn to share something super fun with you today so stay tuned
right until the bottom!!!
You won't want to miss this!!!

I started out with these 2 images that came in the limited edition Pop Up box and a sentiment stamp that reads "There's no place like home for the holidays" which I stamped inside.

I've used some older Magnolia tree dies (still a favorite), distressed the edges with a brown ink and then added some clear ultra thick embossing powder on top.  They look really pretty and shiny in real life but a little difficult to take a photo of it.  The rusty bell is also available from the shop in different sizes and different colors.

Isn't this little gingerbread house just the cutest?!!  It was in an older Doohickey kit along with some other great dies!  I painted on some Snow-Tex and then sugar glitter paste to add some texture.

The funnest part of this card?!!

THE LIGHTS!!!

NEW PRODUCT: Memory Lights are now available in the store!
They are so easy to use and you won't need to find an electrician to help you out.  LOL!

If you'd like to see just how easy, check out this video:

Thanks for coming by today!!  I hope you've enjoyed today's inspiration!

Hugs,

Friday January 11, 2019 - Ruby, Hey There!

January 11, 2019

Hi Friends,

I have been asked to make a Polkadoodles card for the blog today.
I felt a Spring card calling to me!

I have used  "Ruby Hey There” and have coloured her with Pencil Crayons.
I used Maja Vintage Spring Basics paper which is sold in Shawn’s store.
All of the die cuts are from Magnolia DooHickey kits except around Ruby herself where I used a Honey Bee
Scallop Die.

I bought the lace from Shawn’s store last year and it is called:  Guipure Large.
I made 3  flowers out of white Foamiran from Shawn. I coloured them with Gelatos.
The type of flower I made is Lady E’s newest youtube video - wild flowers
Everything has been distressed with Walnut Distress Inks.

I didn’t have the centers that Lady E used so I used some Prills that I had.
I thought it would be fun to have another purse on the card so made this little one also from Vintage Spring Basics.

I have used Wink of Stella for her shoes, flowers her hair and her bow.

Here is a closer picture:

Please join us for the monthly Challenge. This month the challenge is to use lace on your card.

I am not a regular DT Member, but hope I was able to inspire you to try a Polkadoodles Stamp, on your card!
